"Encounter and Appreciate"
On July 3rd, the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan successfully held the "Savor China: Encounter · Appreciate" cultural event. As a continuation of the "Encounter · Appreciate" event for cultural exchanges and mutual learning that entered Turkmenistan in June this year, the event showcased over 40 white porcelain treasures and more than 150 exquisite artworks featuring horse culture. It presented a splendid feast of Chinese culture to local people and figures from all walks of life.
Charge d'Affaires ad interim Zhong Hua of the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan attended the event and delivered a speech. Approximately 200 participants, including Berdyev, President of the Turkmen National Horse Industry Federation, Bayramdurdiyev, Dean of the Aba Annaev Horse Breeding College, Shirimov, Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives from various sectors of Turkmenistan and diplomatic missions in the country, gathered together to appreciate the unique charm of Chinese culture.
Charge d'Affaires ad interim Zhong Hua stated that civilizations become diverse through exchanges and enriched through mutual learning. This event has once again built a bridge for cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Turkmenistan through the "Chinese White" of white porcelain art and the "Soul of the Silk Road" embodied in saddle craftsmanship. China is willing to work with Turkmenistan to effectively implement the outcomes of the Second China-Central Asia Summit and the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, expand exchanges and cooperation in such fields as culture, tourism and youth, jointly practice the Global Civilization Initiative, and work together to build a closer China-Turkmenistan community with a shared future.
At the event, Charge d'Affaires ad interim Zhong Hua, on behalf of the China Horse Industry Association, presented a "Khitan Saddle" to Turkmenistan. The saddle was crafted by Professor Pang Dawei, a master of arts and crafts from the Vocational and Technical College of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University.
The Dean of the Turkmen National Academy of Fine Arts stated that the exhibition has been running for a month and has received wide acclaim in Turkmenistan since its opening. A large number of people visit it every day, especially during holidays. Almost all major local media in Turkmenistan have conducted detailed and in-depth reports on the exhibition, which fully demonstrates its great charm and profound influence.
As the main organizer, the China Horse Industry Association has always acted on the important instruction of promoting exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations. It has carried out extensive non-governmental "steed diplomacy", and through a series of equestrian culture exchange activities, has built a bridge for non-governmental exchanges and cooperation between China and Turkmenistan, enhancing the friendship between the two peoples.
